Do you sell food and drinks?

No, we don’t. I would recommend to buy groceries before coming to the Hostel in Caherciveen or the local shop in Portmagee Village. They can also use the self-catering kitchen to prepare their meals.

Do you serve breakfast?

We actually don’t do the breakfast. Guests can use the self-catering kitchen to prepare their own breakfast.

What do I need to bring with me to check-in?

We require that all guests checking-in bring a piece of Photo Identification (ID) with them.

What time can I check-in?

Reception is open:   from   4pm-7pm

What time is check-out?

We ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 10:30am

Is it possible to check-out later than 10:30?

Yes, check at reception the night prior.

Where can we leave our luggage?

Our guests are welcome to leave their luggage in our luggage room free of charge while on day trips or even just prior to check-in.

Is there a curfew?

There is no curfew; the main door is open all night.

Do we need to bring our own bed linen?

We provide clean bed linen for all of our guests, changed daily prior to check-in. For guests staying for longer periods, bed linen is changed every 4 days.

Are bath towels provided?

Yes we do provide the towels. Ask reception on arrival.

Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, the on-site laundry facilities are just €10.00 for one wash and dry.

Is there an ATM / cash point nearby?

Unfortunately at present there is no cash point. The nearest facility is at Caherciveen.

Is there internet access?

We also offer free WiFi access for guests in the common areas who wish to use their laptops. Please note that there are no printing facilities on site.

Is it possible to book tours?

Yes. Check with reception.

Where can I park?

We have our own parking in front of the Hostel.

How safe is the hostel?

The Skellig Ring House Hostel is very safe. The safety and security of our guests is our top priority.
